The lush, full foliage of foxtail palms will create a beautiful focal point in any landscape.
Water Requirements: Moderate water needs. Drought tolerant once established.
Soil: Salt tolerant! Prefers moist soil.
Growth Rate: Moderate:
Temperature: Hardy to about 40 F. Not cold tolerant.
Pruning: Foxtail Palms are self-cleaning, meaning that the older fronds will fall off by themselves. So they do not need to be pruned!
Tips: Foxtail Palms like lots of nutrients! Apply magnesium or manganese for a deep-green color. Fertilize with micronutrients in spring, summer, and fall.
