Description
Ficus pumila
Creeping Fig’s dark green foliage makes it a great contrasting climbing vine or groundcover.
Water Requirements: Low water needs. Highly drought tolerant.
Soil: Moist, fertile soil.
Growth Rate: Fast
Temperature: Highly heat tolerant. Cold hardy to 20 F.
Pruning: Prune back to keep contained as well as to encourage more compact growth.
Toxicity: Sap of creeping fig can be toxic.
Tips: Creeping Fig is difficult to remove after it establishes itself, so be sure to plant it where you wouldn’t mind it climbing!
