Aptenia (Aptenia cordifolia), commonly known as sunrose, ice plant, baby sun rose, is a low-growing, spreading succulent groundcover valued for its bright, daisy-like flowers and fleshy green leaves. In North Florida and South Georgia, it performs well as a warm-season annual or tender perennial, thriving in hot, sunny conditions. Its trailing habit makes it ideal for containers, hanging baskets, borders, and erosion control, where it forms a dense mat of foliage with vibrant pink to reddish-purple blooms.

Care Needs:
• Light: Full sun
• Water: Low; allow soil to dry between waterings, avoid overwatering
• Pruning: Trim lightly to control spread and encourage fuller growth
• Fertilizer: Apply a light, balanced fertilizer during the growing season if needed
