Poinsettias are typically grown during the Christmas season, but can last well beyond that time if taken care of properly! Although red is the most common, they range in color from pink, white, variegated to multi-colored! Follow these tips to help your plants thrive. Lighting Place in a well-lit area. They do wonderfully in an east-facing room so they can get the warm glow of morning light and afternoon shade. Make sure they are not touching the window directly. If you notice leaves beginning to drop, it might need more light. Water Water your plant whenever the soil is dry. Make sure it is kept moist but not wet. Make sure your plant is in a pot that drains and that it is not sitting in water. Environment Make sure you keep your plant in an area that maintains a temperature of 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly mist your plant daily to mimic its natural tropical habitat for best results.
