Bleeding Hearts
Bleeding Heart Vine (Clerodendrum thomsoniae) is a tropical flowering vine admired for its cascading clusters of white and red, heart-shaped blooms. It adds a striking touch of color to trellises, arbors, or containers and performs beautifully in warm, humid climates like Northeast Florida. With steady care, it provides long-lasting color and lush green foliage throughout much of the year.
Care Needs:
• Light: Bright, indirect light to partial sun; protect from harsh afternoon rays
• Water: Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy; reduce watering slightly in cooler months
• Pruning: Trim after flowering to control size and encourage new growth
• Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer
