Lagerstroemia indica and hybrids, commonly known as crape myrtle, is a deciduous flowering tree valued for its long-lasting summer blooms, smooth exfoliating bark, and attractive fall color. Flowers appear in shades of pink, red, purple, white, and lavender, creating a strong seasonal display. Its upright to spreading habit makes it a popular choice for accent plantings, streetscapes, and small shade trees.
