Can palletized stone be returned?

Yes, but it must be inspected by a manager first to confirm that it is still in good, sellable condition.

Warranty

Do trees and shrubs come with a warranty?

Yes. Trees and shrubs purchased from Liberty are covered for three months from the date of purchase for the original purchaser. The warranty is limited to a one-time replacement or store credit for the purchase price of the plant. It does not provide a cash refund. Dead material and the original receipt must be presented in person

Is there a different warranty if Liberty installs my trees or shrubs?

Yes. Trees and shrubs installed by Liberty may be covered for one full year at 100 percent of the purchase price, as long as proper watering and fertilizing instructions are followed. In-ground irrigation is required for one-year warranty coverage on installed material. This warranty is also limited to a one-time replacement or store credit and does not cover labor or delivery

What is not covered under the plant warranty?

The warranty does not cover annuals, tropicals, vegetables, herbs, hanging baskets, fruit trees, roses, sod, vines, transplanted material, discounted final sale items, certain cold-sensitive plants, or damage caused by weather, insects, disease, wildlife, neglect, abuse, or watering restrictions.

Does labor or delivery count toward the warranty?

not covered under Liberty’s plant warranties.

Product Questions and Material Calculations

How can I get help choosing the right products or materials?

Liberty’s team can help customers choose the right products for their project, including plants, mulch, soil, stone, and other landscape materials. Customers can also use Liberty’s online resources, care guides, and materials calculator for help.

How should I care for newly planted trees and shrubs?

Proper watering, fertilizing, and site selection are important. Liberty recommends following its planting and care guides and contacting the team early if a plant starts struggling.

How do I calculate the proper amount of materials for my project?

We offer a complimentary materials calculator to take the guesswork out of ordering. Click here to learn more.

How many bags of mulch equal one cubic yard?

It takes about 13.5 bags of mulch to equal 1 cubic yard, so most customers should plan on about 14 bags. That covers about 100 square feet at a depth of 2 inches. Each bag typically covers about 8 to 12 square feet, depending on how deeply it is spread.

How many bags of topsoil equal one cubic yard?

It takes about 36 bags of topsoil to equal 1 cubic yard, or about 100 square feet at a depth of 2 inches.

How much palletized stone do I need?

One ton, or 2,000 pounds, of palletized stone typically covers about 75 to 125 square feet with 2- to 3-inch joints. Thicker stone gives less coverage, and thinner stone gives more coverage.

Why does cubic yard coverage not always work out exactly?

Because of compaction and moisture. Materials like sand, soil, and mulch can settle or shrink after they are spread, which affects both depth and coverage. Wet material can also be heavier and denser than dry material.

Citrus and Plant Restrictions

Can I buy citrus from Liberty and take it across state lines?

No. Florida Department of Agriculture regulations do not allow citrus to be taken across state lines. There are no exceptions.
