Lobelia (Lobelia erinus) is a compact, free-flowering annual valued for its masses of small blooms that create a dense carpet of color. Flowers commonly appear in shades of blue, purple, lavender, pink, and white. Its naturally mounding or trailing habit makes it well suited for borders, containers, and hanging baskets where it can spill gently over edges and provide continuous color during the cooler parts of the growing season.
Care Needs:
• Light: Full sun to partial sun
• Water: Keep soil evenly moist but well-drained; do not allow soil to dry out completely
• Pruning: Lightly trim plants if they become leggy to encourage fuller growth and renewed blooming
• Fertilizer: Apply a balanced fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season to maintain flowering
