Helianthus annuus, commonly known as sunflower, is a fast-growing annual valued for its large, bright yellow blooms with dark centers that track the sun throughout the day. Its tall, upright habit makes it ideal for garden beds, borders, and cut flower plantings, providing bold seasonal color and visual interest in North Florida and South Georgia landscapes.

Care Needs:
• Light: Full sun
• Water: Water regularly until established; once established, moderate watering is sufficient
• Pruning: Remove spent flowers if desired to encourage additional blooms; minimal pruning otherwise
• Fertilizer: If any, apply a balanced fertilizer at planting and again mid-season to support vigorous growth. Too high of a nitrogen concentration can discourage blooming in sunflowers.

*Only available in Summer and Fall
