The Sylvester Date Palm features fluffy foliage and a trunk with a deep golden hue.



Water Requirements: Moderate. Does well in semi wet to dry conditions.

Soil: Prefers sandy soil but is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions.

Growth Rate: Once established, Sylvester Date Palms grow about 1 and a half feet per year.

Temperature: Hardy to 25 F

Pruning: Use sterile pruning shears to remove dead and faded fronds as well as flowers. Cut at the trunk of the tree, making a clean cut. Prune in spring.
