Liriodendron tulipfera
Also known as the Tulip Tree, this tree has tulip-shaped leaves and large, pretty flowers!
Water Requirements: Moderate water needs. Can be drought tolerant once established.
Soil: Well-draining, acidic soils preferred but tolerates a wide range of soil types.
Growth Rate: Fast, over 2 feet per year
Bloom Time: Late Spring to Early Summer
Temperature: Changes colors in Fall and drops leaves in winter. Highly cold and heat hardy.
Pruning: Not needed.
Tips: Attracts hummingbirds when in bloom!
