Rubus spp., commonly known as blackberry, is a vigorous fruiting shrub prized for its sweet, juicy berries and abundant harvests. Fun fact: blackberry plants can produce fruit for 15 years or more with proper care, and each berry is actually made up of dozens of tiny fruits called drupelets. They are an excellent choice for home gardens, edible landscapes, and fresh eating.

Care Needs:
• Light: Full sun
• Water: Water regularly until established; once established, water deeply during extended dry periods, especially while fruit is developing
• Pruning: Remove canes that have finished fruiting and prune new canes as needed to encourage healthy growth and improve fruit production
• Fertilizer: Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring and again after harvest if needed
