Pyrus spp., commonly known as the pear tree, is a deciduous fruit tree prized for its sweet, juicy fruit and attractive spring blossoms. Fun fact: pear trees can remain productive for 50 years or more with proper care, making them one of the longest-lived fruit trees in the home orchard. Their beautiful white flowers and glossy foliage also make them an excellent ornamental addition to the landscape.
