Limestone Screenings
Limestone screenings are a fine, crushed limestone material commonly used in landscaping and construction for their compactability and clean finish. They are ideal as a base layer for patios, walkways, pavers, and flagstone. The screenings’ fine texture creates a stable, level surface that resists shifting while providing proper drainage, making it an excellent material for high-traffic areas. Limestone screenings are also used to fill gaps between stones or bricks, offering a smooth, natural-looking surface. At Liberty Landscape Supply, our limestone screenings are sourced from premium-quality limestone quarries, ensuring consistency and reliability for all your outdoor projects.
One scoop is approximately one cubic yard, covering 100-125 sq. ft. with 2-3 inches of depth before compaction.
Usage Tips:
Preparation: Clear the area of debris and weeds. Level the ground before application.
Installation: Spread the limestone screenings evenly over the area. Use a rake to level it out.
Compaction: Compact the screenings using a plate compactor to ensure a firm and stable base.
Maintenance: Periodically check for any settling or uneven areas and add additional screenings as needed.
