Arborvitae (Thuja species), also commonly known as Thuja, is an evergreen conifer used for screening, hedges, and vertical accents in the landscape. Known for its dense foliage and upright growth habit, Arborvitae provides year-round structure and privacy and performs best in North Florida when given proper spacing, drainage, and airflow.
Care Needs:
• Light: Full sun to part sun
• Water: Moderate; water regularly during establishment, then as needed
• Pruning: Minimal; prune lightly to maintain shape if needed
• Fertilizer: Apply a slow-release, balanced fertilizer in early spring
