Stromanthe is an excellent option that can fill in a shady area with intense, goregous color.
Water Requirements: Moderate water needs, keep soil moist.
Soil: Consistently moist, well-draining soil.
Growth Rate: Moderate
Temperature: Hardy to 40 F, but can become more cold hardy after establishment.
Pruning: Generally not needed.
Tips: Brown edges on the leaves of a stromanthe mean it is not getting enough water or humidity! Stromanthe can make for a lovely houseplant if desired. Cover in the wintertime if keeping it outdoors!
