These magnificent trees are characterized by shiny, dense foliage that provides lush shade to an area.
Water Requirements: Moderate water needs. Adaptable to wet or dry soil, but prefers more water when possible.
Soil: Well-draining.
Growth Rate: Fast, up to 5 feet per year.
Temperature: Highly cold and heat tolerant. Deciduous in winter.
Pruning: Not required, but can be pruned in early spring if desired. Note that pruning will not significantly reduce the height.
Tips: Forms several strong, erect branches.
