Malvaviscus arboreus var. drummondii, commonly known as Turk's cap, is a fast-growing native perennial shrub prized for its unique, hibiscus-like flowers that remain partially closed, giving them the appearance of a Turkish turban. Bright red blooms appear from late spring through fall and attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators. Its adaptability to heat, humidity, and partial shade makes it an excellent choice for North Florida and South Georgia landscapes.
