Ruellia simplex, commonly known as Mexican petunia, is a fast-growing perennial prized for its trumpet-shaped flowers and lush, grass-like foliage. Available in shades of purple, pink, and white, it blooms from spring through fall and is an excellent choice for borders, mass plantings, rain gardens, and naturalized areas. Its heat tolerance and ability to thrive in wet or dry conditions make it well suited for North Florida and South Georgia landscapes.

Care Needs:
• Light: Full sun to partial sun
• Water: Water regularly until established; once established, tolerates both dry and moist soils
• Pruning: Cut back periodically to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth; remove spent stems as needed
• Fertilizer: Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring to encourage healthy growth and flowering
