Watch for pests
Newly laid sod can be more vulnerable to pests like chinch bugs and grubs. Inspect your lawn regularly, especially in warmer months, and treat early if you notice thinning, discoloration, or unusual damage.
Long-term care matters
A healthy lawn doesn’t stop at installation. Aerate annually to reduce compaction, mow at the proper height, and water deeply but less frequently to encourage deeper roots. These habits help your sod stay resilient and looking its best year-round.
