Water Requirements: Drought tolerant once established, but do best with deep and consistent waterings.
Soil: Any soil, but it is recommended to amend the soil with compost before planting.
Growth Rate: Fast
Bloom Time: Summer and Fall
Temperature: Most sunflowers are annuals, so they will die off in winter when the temperature drops.
Pruning: Not required.
Tips: Avoid using fertilizers on sunflowers! Too high of a nitrogen concentration can discourage blooming in sunflowers. Further, some sunflowers might require staking if they are a taller variety!
