Cyperus papyrus, commonly known as papyrus, is a dramatic aquatic perennial prized for its tall stems topped with graceful, umbrella-like clusters of fine green bracts. It adds bold texture and architectural interest to ponds, water gardens, rain gardens, and consistently moist landscapes. Thriving in the warm, humid conditions of North Florida and South Georgia, papyrus is also valued for its ability to help filter water and provide habitat for wildlife. Additionally, it can be used to make paper!
