Plumbago (Plumbago auriculata), also commonly known as Cape leadwort, is a tropical shrub prized for its clusters of sky-blue or white flowers and sprawling, mounding habit. In North Florida landscapes, it works well as a hedge, border, or accent, providing long-lasting blooms and attracting pollinators throughout the growing season.
Care Needs:
• Light: Full sun to partial sun
• Water: Moderate; water regularly during establishment, then as needed
• Pruning: Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth
• Fertilizer: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer during the growing season
