Setcreasea pallida (syn. Tradescantia pallida), commonly known as Purple Queen or Purple Heart, is a fast-growing evergreen perennial prized for its vibrant purple foliage and small pink flowers. Its trailing, spreading habit makes it an excellent choice for groundcovers, borders, hanging baskets, and containers, where it provides bold color throughout the growing season.

Care Needs:
• Light: Full sun to partial sun
• Water: Water regularly until established; once established, water during extended dry periods
• Pruning: Trim as needed to maintain a compact shape and encourage fuller growth; pinch back stems to promote branching
• Fertilizer: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring; additional feeding is generally not necessary in fertile soils


Toxicity: Poisonous to pets!

Tips: Comes in a few different varieties, and works great as a houseplant!
