Simpson’s Stopper (Myrcianthes fragrans) is a dense, evergreen shrub or small tree native to Florida, valued for its glossy green foliage, compact growth habit, and adaptability. It is commonly used as a hedge, screen, or small specimen tree and performs especially well in North Florida landscapes, including coastal areas. Fragrant white flowers appear in spring, followed by small orange to red berries that attract birds.
