Viburnum suspensum, commonly known as sandankwa viburnum, is a dense evergreen shrub valued for its thick, leathery foliage and naturally rounded growth habit. It produces clusters of fragrant white flowers in spring that may be followed by red berries that mature to black. Its compact form and tolerance for pruning make it well suited for hedges, screens, and foundation plantings where a durable, evergreen structure is desired.
Care Needs:
• Light: Full sun to partial sun
• Water: Water regularly until established; once established, water during extended dry periods
• Pruning: Prune as needed to maintain shape or density, especially when used as a hedge
• Fertilizer: Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring to support healthy growth
