Wax Myrtle (Morella cerifera) is a fast-growing, evergreen to semi-evergreen shrub or small tree valued for its fine-textured foliage and adaptability to a wide range of landscape conditions. It is commonly used as a hedge, screen, or naturalized planting and is well suited to coastal and inland landscapes alike.
Care Needs
• Light: Full sun to part sun
• Water: Water regularly during establishment; very tolerant of wet soils and drought once established
• Pruning: Prune as needed to control size or maintain a dense form; responds well to pruning
• Fertilizer: Generally not required; apply a balanced fertilizer in spring if growth is weak
